Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association - Ontario Chapter
 

Ontario is the most populous and second-largest in area of Canada's ten provinces. It is found in east-central Canada with its capital in Toronto. The capital of Canada, Ottawa, is also located in Ontario and is home to the Canadian Livestock Records Corp. that manages the registrations of CWHBA. Ontario is bounded on the north by Hudson Bay and James Bay, east by Quebec, west by Manitoba, and south by the U.S. states of Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Ontario's long American border is formed almost entirely by lakes and rivers, including four of the Great Lakes namely Lakes Superior, Huron, Erie, and Ontario. As would be expected, Ontario has a thriving warmblood breeding community utilizing international bloodlines. Competition in Ontario features a wide selection of show venues with top level competition available. One of these is the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, a world class venue showcasing top competition in performance and breeding divisions.

Welcome

Well here we are almost fully into another breeding and show season. Easter has come and gone and along with it Winters last Hurrah...don't know about you all but here I was in a T shirt one day and the next we had over a foot of snow...so not impressed!

 

 

Already this season we have completed the National AGM...which was a blast and so great to see all our friends from across the country. It was a HUGE success and what attributed to that success was the generosity of our sponsors...A huge thank you to you all. The Free Jumping partnered with the Hanoverian Association just took place this last week and was a success with CWHBA horses taking home alot of the money!!! We should have some photos and results soon.

 

We also took part in the CAN AM in London for the first time and that was a super experience too. We will look to expand on that in 2010.

 

We have several new board members whom we welcome and we wave goodbye with many thanks and best wishes to those who have moved on. We have many initiatives planned for this year and we are a great team to play with...so come on out and join us and watch for the calendar of events which will be published shortly.

 

If you have a mare that needs inspecting but cannot make the published schedule, ask us about an alternative...we may be able to accommodate you!
