Comments:

Frenchman has one of the best pedigrees in North America today and he is also the only breeding son of Le Tot De Semilly in North America. He will be an ideal cross with TB & WB. Frenchman is special. There is no other way to describe this horse. He is majestic, athletic, has a temperament second to none. Added to that are his bloodlines, Le Tot de Semilly is one of the worlds most prolific show jumpers today, having won over 85 International GP, recently honored in France as one of the worlds top jumping & producing stallions. Sire of Diamond de Semilly (Frenchman's half brother) Le Tot de Semilly has sired no less than 100 internationally acclaimed offspring, including Birdy du Gisors, European medallist in 1997, and Ultimee du Chemin (exported to Switzerland) to name just a few! His grand sire, Grand Veneur, was himself both an incredible athlete and also produced 320 big money winners. Frenchman's dam is a direct daughter of the great Alme (the sire of all sires): this bloodline needs no introduction! Frenchman was injured as a young horse and did not start to compete until late where he has been successful both at GP jumper and has done 2** eventing scoring 9s in his dressage. He is the epitome of a sport horse athlete in today's market place. Frenchman is for the serious breeder who wants performance, pedigree and substance all of which he passes on to his offspring including his fantastic work ethic. His off spring to date have shown they have the ability to succeed in the show ring across all three disciplines. Frenchman foals are showing size and athleticism and his wonderful temperament. They are also showing well on the line and his first crop placed well in the 2003 Cw Foal Futurity. Frenchman was in the Preliminary championships and 6th overall in Ontario. Frenchman is now campaigned with Peter Gray at the 2** Intermediate level with exciting results. The Selle Francais are so talented and versatile as a horse, their recent medal winnings at the WEG are testament to that with French horses winning the following medals: Team Gold Medal - Show Jumping; Team Silver Medal - Eventing; Individual Gold Medal - Eventing; Team Gold Medal - Endurance; Individual Bronze Medal - Endurance. Today's Selle Francais is the result of generations of selective breeding in France, which has produced a horse of exceptional athletic ability, keen intelligence and willing disposition. This careful breeding program has proven itself time and time again, with Selle Francais horses consistently being among the top competitors. In 1999, Baloubet du Rouet, a Selle Francais by Galoubet, won the World Cup of Show Jumping for the second year in a row. In the United States, the Selle Francais gelding, Twist du Valon, by Narcos II (full brother to Mazarin V, sire of Tango Selune) was the AGA horse of the year for 1998. Selle Francais horses have competed on the Olympic show jumping teams of many countries. In Atlanta in 1996, the Belgian registered individual gold medal winner, Jus de Pomme, carried 100% French blood in his veins. The Selle Francais is not readily available in Canada. Our aim is to improve that option by breeding and importing French riding horses and distributing frozen semen from some of some of the best French performance stallions in the world.
