Messenger VF is the genetic combination of two successful competitors on the international show jumping scene.
Sire, Monte Bellini, won the second round of the 2012 FEI World Cup in s'Hertogenbosch under Philipp Weishaupt. The pair was later named to the German Olympic team, but could not attend the Games in London due to a minor ailment. Monte Bellini's ground covering, uphill canter, powerful back, outstanding technique, and bascule brought him the title of Double Champion at two consecutive German Bundeschampionates where he earned record scores. Monte Bellini is just as successful in breeding as he was in sport with six licensed sons and several state premium mares. According to FN's breeding value statistics he is ranked nationwide with 146 points as jumper sire and a dressage index of 108 points in the top group of sires. These positive outcomes are also accompanied by many Premium foals such as the top selling jumper foal at the Vechta Elite Auction.
Dam, Nec Plus Ultra, was an international competitor with many international placings in the 1.50m divisions. Her sire, Darco, most notably was the winner of the Volvo World Cup in London 1988 and in s'Hertogenbosch in 1989. He was 6th in the World Championships in Stockholm in 1990 and 7th place in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992. In 2011 Darco was the leading jumper sire in the world for the 5th consecutive year proving his consistency and heritability as a sire.
Like his lineage dictates, Messenger VF exhibits impeccable technique, good bascule and limitless scope through the chute. In terms of type, this expressive, modern young stallion is short coupled, displaying a well developed neck, good length of forearm and substance. Messenger maintains a kind demeanor and great willingness to work.
Messenger VF was licensed by the CWHBA as a two year old in 2015.
