Quebec (pronounced [kw?'bek] or [k?'bek]) (French: Québec, pronounced [kebek]) is boarded by Ontario, James Bay and Hudson Bay to the west, Ungava Bay to the north, the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and the provinces of New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador to the east, and the US states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine to the south. Quebec is the largest province in Canada and the second most populated. The official language is French. Its economy relies much on the abundance of natural resources, on agriculture and agri-food, and on trade with other Canadian provinces, France and the northeastern states of the US. The most populated region is the St. Lawrence River valley in the south, where the capital, Quebec City, and the largest city, Montreal, are situated. North of Montreal are the Laurentians where the beautiful fall maple tree colours forming the background of the banner can be seen. Warmblood breeding is strong in Quebec with exceptional bloodlines to be found in member's herds. Not only a beautiful and historic place to visit, Quebec also contains a wealth of top quality Warmblood horses for all disciplines.
