Meet Charmeur, translated from the French language into English is (you got it!) Charmeur, a name that undeniably suits this new kid on the block to a T! Ooh la la!
Stallion Career Debut; at his Stallion Inspection, this tall 17hh big boy captivated the audience's attention with his personal magnetism, charisma and stallion appeal. Receiving a series of good scores for Breed/Sex type, Canter and Overall Conformation, not to mention 9s for his forelegs and Correctness of Gaits! The judges showed their appreciation by offering comments such as; (Gaits) very correct, good spring & lift at canter and hind leg engagement. Afterwards, having the chance to further demonstrate his skills in the Free Jump Phase, in showing a good/honest attitude for jumping and earned himself an 8 for Technique!
Temperament and Rideability; a sweet and gentle disposition, shows a willingness to please, learn and has an incredibly well balanced canter, a simple delight to ride!
Pedigree; Charmeur's bloodlines hold some of the BEST and POWERFUL names of stallions, known in BOTH the Show Jumping and Eventing world, as Performers AND in Reproduction!
His Sire's side, undoubtedly the strongest asset of the Holsteiner breed is their jumping capacity, a breed internationally known for Olympic-caliber jumping. Beaulieu's Conquest, won the title of Champion and recognized for his incredible jumping abilities at his Approval in Belgium in 2005. Corrado I is one of the most appreciated Holsteiner stallions, having sired many Grand Prix performers and approved stallions such as: Coriano, Corofino, Calmaro, Contago, Corraldo and the Olympic individual 3rd in Athens, CLINTON. Also included in this amazing list of stallions representing Charmer's pedigree; Capitol I and Cor de la Bryere!
Hey, let us NOT forget this important FEMALE performer. Florida II, herself National Champion at 1.45m level, her damsire Calando I, also jumped at Grand Prix level and Team Bronze Medal winner at the 1972 Olympic Games.
Charmeur's Damside is equally impressive! His dam Hot Chocolate, whose sire is none other than THE Czech-bred Thoroughbred black stallion Heraldik! This former Grand Prix Show Jumper, is not only a High Level Performer himself but is recognized as one of the BEST Thoroughbred stallions ever to have sired numerous International horses, 14 approved sons. He has been the WBFSH leading sire in Eventing for 5 years in a row and is quite well represented by his offspring at the Top Eventing competitions. Hot Chocolate's dam Nixe, another impressive female performer, was a successful 1.35m jumper in Europe and is sired by Olympic dressage stallion Nebelhorn. WFFS N/N
