Winner of his stallion test in Switzerland with 9’s out of 10 in general impression, quality of gaits and jumping style (all other marks were 8 out of 10), Donner Bube represents the “magical cross” of the immortal Donnerhall on a States Premium daughter of Pik Bube I.
Donner Bube competed successfully in show jumping prior to his exportation from Switzerland and in Canada and U.S.A. with Kathy Playdon. More recently Donner Bube has been actively competing in Dressage, up to Prix St Georges level, and he will continue to show.
His offspring are proving to be versatile competitors with individuals successful in Dressage, Hunter, Show Jumping and Combined Driving. He has produced offspring that have won or placed in all divisions of the Canadian Performane Futurities. From the 2008 CWHBA year-end show, Donner Bube sired the winner of the Alberta sires foal futurity as well as the dam of the winner of the open foal futurity, who was also named Young Horse Champion! He is the sire of Dia – 2007 Alberta Champion Mare and Reserve Champion 3-year-old Materiale performer, Danya – 2008 Reserve Champion mare and 3-year-old Materiale Champion, and sire of the dam to Reflection – Reserve Champion 3-year-old Materiale winner. His offspring and “grand-get” also are proving to be willing and athletic partners!
