Maya and Owner/Rider Rebecca Cade were 4th at the CA/ADA Summer Dressage Show held at Anderson Ranch June 25-27 2010 in the FEI Prix St. George.  Her dam, Colibri, is an Elite Mare. Maya was bred by Joe & Edda Selinger of J.E.S. Breeding Farm.

The 2010 Stallion Performance Test will run at Ferme Beaulieu Farm in Quebec. It starts August 27th and the last day of testing is September 3rd. This Test is open and is an International format.

HANOVERIAN FOUNDATION STALLION - BRENTANO II

The legendary Hanoverian breeding stallion Brentano II (Bolero x Glocke (Grande / Ferdinand) passed away on Wednesday night 9 June 2010 following a severe colic attack. The liver chestnut stallion could not be saved and had to be humanely put down. He was 1985 Hanoverian Licensing Champion, 1986 reserve stallion performance test winner and Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2003.

WELCOME TO THE CWHBA!

The Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWHBA) was Incorporated, under the Canadian Live Stock Pedigree Act, in 1991. The association is a corporate union of breeders for the purpose of furthering warmblood horse breeding in Canada. The purpose of the association is: to unite the breeders, owners and friends of Warmblood horses in Canada; to maintain of the Stud Book of Canadian Warmblood horses including approved stallions, mares and foals; to maintain a uniform breeding program of warmblood horses in Canada; to promote breed shows and representation in exhibitions; to provide information to breeders, owners and friends and generally encourage public understanding of the Canadian Warmblood horse. The breeding aim is to produce a well bred Warmblood horse, correct in conformation and with good performance.  * NOTICE * EFFECTIVE MAY 31, 2009

The late fee for registrations of foals over a year old has increased from $50 to $75. The Dam entry fee has increased from $30 to $45. **Please note that: for mares that have not been presented at an inspection, this will become an annual fee payable with each foal registration.

Policy regarding Dam Entry Fees:
Entry at time of inspection:
1. At time of inspection, an entry fee must be paid with the inspection fee, for all mares not previously entered.
2. No entry fee is charged, at time of inspection, for mares for which an entry fee has previously been paid.

Entry at time of foal registration for un-inspected dams:
1. Dam entry fee of $45 will be paid at time of foal registration for each foal from a non-inspected dam.

If you have a mare that has been presented to another recognized warmblood registry, and not submitted the scores to the office, now is the time to do so or this entry fee will be due. If you have any questions please contact the National Office.


WEB SITE - MEMBER'S AREA

In order to access the Member's Area and Member's Sale Horses online database you must be a current year (2010) member. To get your Member's Area access login contact: office@canadianwarmbloods.com
Member's wishing to list their CWHBA horses may now enter the information themselves. The horse you wish to list must be either Registered or Entered with the CWHBA. Pending will be accepted in the field for registration/entry number provided the paperwork has been received by the National Office or for current year foals.


AMENDED ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

The Amended Articles of Incorporation were approved by a resounding 97% of the greater than 25% of current members who responded with ballots. This vote was then ratified at the National AGM, February 22 in Ontario, and has now gone forward to the Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada Department for ministerial approval along with the new By-Laws that were also approved by the membership. 2009 STALLION REPORTS

The Stallion 'Report of Mares Bred' was due October 31, 2009. Fee: $75 for reports received after November 1, 2009. Forms can be downloaded HERE and scroll down the page to Stallion Report Forms.
